Privacy policy

selfslide (selfslide.com) turns your notes into slides and shows them on every screen in the room. The service is operated by Sequence OÜ (reg. code 11371952, Pirnipuu pst 170-1, 74117 Maardu, Estonia). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

Account. selfslide is in closed beta. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile picture from Google. If you ask to join the beta, we keep that request with the same details and the interface language.

Your material. The notes and files you add (Word, PDF, text, a Google Doc link), the slides made from them and your presentation settings are stored on our server so you can use them again.

Audience. Guests who open a presentation screen do not sign in and give us no personal data. Their chosen language is remembered only in their own browser.

Technical logs. Our server keeps basic request logs (time, IP address, status) needed to run and secure the service.

• To provide the service you asked for: sign-in, storing your notes, making slides and translations, showing them on screens (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To handle beta requests and invitations (steps at your request before a contract).

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not train AI models on it.

• Zone Media OÜ (zone.ee): hosting in the European Union.
• Google: Sign-in with Google, and reading a Google Doc when you paste its link.
• Groq: AI that turns your notes into short slides and translates them. Only the text needed for that step is sent.
• Google Fonts, jsDelivr and cdnjs: fonts and interface libraries. They see your IP address when the page loads.
• Google Analytics: visit statistics (where visitors come from, which pages they open), only after you allow it in the cookie banner. IP addresses are anonymised.

Each provider receives only the data it needs for its function.

Google and Groq may process data outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your notes and slides are kept while your account exists. You can delete any presentation yourself at any time. Beta requests are kept until the beta ends or until you ask us to delete them. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security.

selfslide uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage, and Google Analytics only with your consent. No advertising. Details are in the cookie policy.

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@selfslide.com, we answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or the supervisory authority where you live.

selfslide is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. Important changes are also shown in the service.
