where selfslide is different
Your notes are the input
Other generators write the talk for you. selfslide keeps your words and your order, one point of the notes becomes one slide.
The show is live, not a file
You open one link on the TV, the projector and the laptop, and every screen stays on the same slide. No USB sticks, no cables to a stage computer.
Your phone is the remote
Swipe on the phone, the whole room moves with you.
Each guest reads in their language
The prepared text is translated before the talk, so it can be checked. Live speech apps translate on the fly, with a delay and recognition errors.
Nothing to install
It runs in a browser on any device. No licence per computer, no operator.
when another tool is a better fit
Gemini Notebook (NotebookLM)
You need to research a pile of sources and send a deck as a file. Keep in mind: slides are generated as images, edited only by prompt, and the watermark goes away only on Ultra.
Gamma
You need a designed deck to send by email or export to PowerPoint.
Slido or Mentimeter
You need polls, quizzes and questions from the audience. They work fine next to selfslide.
Live translation apps
The talk is unscripted and has to be translated as it is spoken.
ProPresenter
A big stage with video, cameras and a dedicated operator.
